“Thanks to Helen, my adult granddaughter and I recently had the most amazing experience in Italy, a dream trip. She had booked us an 8 day cruise of Italy which was amazing, but it was the extras Helen organised for us that made the trip spectacular. The driver she had arranged to pick us up at the airport was on time and throughout the journey to our hotel he told us what we were seeing and a bit of the history of Rome. The hotel was just what we had requested — had lots of character and our room overlooked the Trevi Fountain. The highlight of the whole trip was the ETuk 3 hour private tour of Rome in the evening. The Skip The Line tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St Peters was so informative and being a small group we were able to fully interact with the guide. As someone who has been fortunate enough to cruise nearly 200 nights on Regent Seven Seas I have been equally lucky to have Helen King of The Small Ship Collective as my travel agent for these last 5 years or so. She was an invaluable asset this past January on our Grand Asian Exploration Voyage Auckland-Tokyo. She was right there with us sending reminders of deadlines and emailing helpful information for the many Visa applications that were required along the way. It's comforting to know that she will be with us in Jan of 2028 when we embark on another extended voyage, the Grand South America Mosaic. Some people think that using a travel agent costs you more money than booking a cruise yourself. This is simply not true, in fact you often get more bang for your buck working with a competent agent. From additional ship board credit to special pricing on select cruises it pays to use an agent. When you work directly with the cruise line there is no incentive for their agents to offer any perks or offer any money saving tips. After having had a good TA (who sadly passed away) and then being stuck with the person who bought her business for a short while, I can tell you Helen has been a godsend. Her extensive hands on knowledge of the luxury cruising market and exceptional work ethic sets her apart as a super agent.
